We’re going to need a bigger bo…hard drive

call of duty modern warfare remasteredAs of yesterday, those who pre-ordered Call of Duty Infinite Warfare’s Legacy, Legacy Pro or Deluxe versions were greeted to a code to download and play the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign on their PlayStation 4’s. One retailer in France sent their customers a photo of the back of the box, which happened to state the required hard drive space for the whole bundle. 130 gigabytes!

Considering players will have to have Infinite Warfare installed in order to launch Modern Warfare Remastered, you will most likely need both intact if you only intend to play the remastered game. That’s two full campaign games, two multiplayer experiences, and the Zombies mode included with Infinite Warfare. On top of that, don’t forget, there is also the VR experience called ‘Jackal Assault’. Whether or not this is a mandatory installation, we don’t know, but it looks like it with that immense file size!

So, before November 4th, make sure you clear out some hard drive space, or invest in one, or a bigger one. This doesn’t speak for the Xbox One release, but it shouldn’t be too far off, if you take away the VR exclusive mission on PlayStation 4.

If you have pre-ordered on PlayStation 4, you can play Modern Warfare Remastered today.
