Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will soon be upon us, but not before a pre-order exclusive beta makes an appearance this month. In the video below, learn more about the movement and the changes made from previous Call of Duty titles.
The video shows off the boost jump, boost slide, wallrunning, and other new moves unique to Black Ops 3. It has also been confirmed that the beta will require 15gb of free hard drive space, and Activision said that PS4 owners will be emailed a beta token beginning at 12am PT on August 19th. Anyone who pre-ordered the game through a digital retailer is automatically entered, although you’ll need to download the beta on the day the beta goes live, so no pre-installing will take place.
The beta goes live first for PlayStation 4 players who pre-ordered the game. That will begin on August 19th until the 19th, and then for Xbox One and PC players on August 26th until the30th, letting you play with 8 specialists, 7 modes and 3 maps.
Another trailer was released previously, showing off the multiplayer beta in action, which we will share below as well. As for beta access incentives through pre-orders, I had something to say on the matter last month, and how I find it to be a bit of a dirty tactic used to increase sales by offering a paid-for demo. You can read that opinion piece here.
