Black Ops playable on Xbox One backwards compatibility

black ops xbox one backwards compatibilityAnnounced last year, and today it seems it has become a reality. Call of Duty Black Ops 1 from Treyarch appears to be playable on Xbox One with the system’s backwards compatibility feature.

An image upload showing the Xbox 360 dashboard shows an advertisement for the game, saying “Now plays on Xbox One”. *loads up my own 360 to have a look*. Ok, so my console is still showing the Minecraft birthday pack, but we’ll let one of you guys load up the game to confirm it.

black ops xbox one backwards compatibilityThis is great news for fans, and should maybe alleviate some of the hatred that Infinite Warfare is receiving over on Youtube these days. In related news, last week Deux Ex: Human Revolution became backwards compatible, being the first multi-disc title to work on the Xbox One’s feature. Let’s hope that Mass Effect 2 and 3 join the list soon then!

Are you going to hop on for a game of Black Ops 1 this evening with friends then?
