Last week was the premiere of Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and It’s breaking all sorts of Box Office records. And a month ago was the release of Star Wars Battlefront, a Multiplayer FPS based on the films of the Original Trilogy (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi). One would think that EA is planning to take advantage of the movie release and success to sell some DLC based off it for their game, well it doesn’t look that way…
Responding to several questions on Twitter, the official account for Star Wars Battlefront says the team is focusing on the original trilogy for this game.
@ninjachris404 Our team is focusing on the original trilogy for this release of Star Wars Battlefront.

This could mean that future sequels may deal with the other trilogies in the Sci-fi saga, be it the sequel trilogy or the rather divisive prequel trilogy. Let’s also not forget that there’s already a map based on the planet Jakku, introduced in the new movie.
