In keeping with recent traditions set by EA, another piece of DLC is now free and available to all players of Battlefield Hardline on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Getaway DLC, which is usually $15 is now free, and adds new maps, gameplay modes and weapons.
Releasing as DLC back in January, Getaway includes four new maps called Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge, and Diversion. It also adds a new mode called Capture the Bag and 4 new vehicles. Just look at them. Sporty!
Like many other players, in recent weeks or months, I have been spending a lot more time on Battlefield 4, and even dipping my toes in Hardline again as of last week. I didn’t take to it very much when it launched, as I love the traditional Battlefield experience.
Squadding up with friends as of late has been a rewarding experience and each victory is a hard fought battle in most cases. I will certainly be giving Getaway a run for its money (pun somewhat intended) and maybe I’ll meet you on the battlefield some time in the future!
If the multiplayer setup of Hardline isn’t for you, fair enough, but at least give its single player campaign a shot. The multiplayer is certainly more infantry focused than Battlefield 4, with less use made of jets, tanks and military hardware.
