With the imminent announcement of Battlefield 5, DICE and EA are upping the hype by announcing that Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline players will have access to free DLC in the coming months. “Over the next few months we’ll be giving away previously released expansion packs for both games to anyone playing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Origin for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.”
“From May 3 to May 10, you can get Battlefield 4’s Dragon’s Teeth for free. Engage in intense urban battles across four dense Asian Pacific maps in this infantry-focused expansion.” Dragon’s Teeth includes four maps including Sunken Dragon, Propaganda, Pearl Market, and Lumphini Garden.
On Battlefield Hardline from May 3rd to May 10th, you can get the Robbery DLC for free. “It’s all about the Big Score: how to steal it, or how to stop it. Robbery’s maps and game mode are designed to let criminal teams plan and execute the perfect heist; or, for law enforcement, to get the crooks in cuffs before they can pull it off.
This is a pretty awesome offer from DICE and EA and should see more players returning to the massive battlefields of both titles. On a personal level, I have been enjoying Battlefield 4 again in the last week or so, while also introducing friends to it for the first time through EA Access. Having the DLC being made available to all players will surely make it more refreshing instead of fighting over the vanilla maps repeatedly.
