Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 and more backwards compatible

xbox backwards compatible decemberThe Xbox backwards compatible team dropped a bunch of great titles throughout 2016, before taking a deserved break throughout the holidays and New Year. Today they return with a handful of excellent titles, all ready to be enjoyed. Anyone want to indulge in some Bad Company 2?

Two batches of titles hit the Xbox One today, with the first highlight being Ghostbusters. Not the bad, recent one. But the one that acts almost like a sequel to the original movies. Why not pick that up and give it a whirl? A few other titles dropped by, which you can see in the tweets below, but what I’m happiest to see personally, is the addition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Bad Company 2 released in 2010, and was my first real experience of the Battlefield series. I had a taste of the first Bad Company, where I famously befriended one of my bestest online friends to this day (repairing his tank with my spanner) and it was on Bad Company 2 that our relationship truly blossomed. Back in 2015, I discussed my love for the game in an article about how my best friends are the ones I’ve met online.

Hopefully the Vietnam expansion finds its way onto the backwards compatible title, but aside from that, there’s also the excellent Battlefield 3, which upped the gameplay tempo to square up to the Call of Duty series. It also featured the brilliant base jumping map, which never got old. It probably feels old now, mind you… And lastly, the original Dragon Age title, if you want to go all the way back to where the series started!
