Battlefield 1: how to get rid of that F***ing EA Access trial message

Battlefield 1I’ve been trying to enjoy the EA Access trail of Battlefield 1 but I’ve come across possibly the most annoying bug. I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about, yes it’s that annoying as hell EA access message that pops up every 5 minutes or to be more accurate, whenever I have somebody in my crosshairs. Well it seems there may be a fix for that.

Anyone who has been playing the EA Access trial of Battlefield 1 will no doubt have run into the infuriating problem and it’s a safe that you’ve lost a life or missed out on a kill because of it. VG24/7 reckon they have a fix for you.

EA Access pop up

Here’s a work around that works (if it doesn’t I’m going to punch my TV) – it involves resetting your console so please make sure all your saves and such are synced with Xbox Live. This should happen automatically but if you’ve been offline, make sure you sign into Xbox Live before doing this. If it all goes Pete Tong don’t blame us we are merely the messenger pigeon

  • Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select All Settings.
  • Select System.
  • Select Console info & updates.
  • Select Reset console.
  • Choose Reset and keep my games & apps – this is important

Xbox One console reset

Choosing Reset and keep my games & apps means you won’t have to re-download games or apps, it should just reset the OS and delete corrupted data. Obviously, don’t select Reset and remove everything because that would be idiotic and totally ruin you day, week, month, year, Life, depending on how bad your interweb speeds are because it would wipe everything from your console.

Remember if this works it was us at 4-One gaming that helped you out but if it goes belly up it was those chaps and chapettes over at VG24/7. fingers crossed we can shoot people in the face without further interruption.
