Rumoured for some months and then finally officially announced just this week, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros revealed the Batman: Return to Arkham collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which remasters the PS3 and 360 classics, and includes all previously released DLC.
A user on Reddit by the name of blackfire561 created some comparison images based on what was shown in the new Return to Arkham trailer, and what we’ve seen before in the previously released games. The level of improvement is immense, but for some, it may be hard to consider going back to play Arkham Asylum and Arkham City again, despite how great they were.
Remasters are a touchy subject for many, and we have been inundated with them since the PS4 and Xbox One launched. Whether it’s the Nathan Drake Collection or Master Chief Collection, which offer a tonne of content and are worth picking up, we also have remasters of titles such as Sleeping Dogs, Dead Island (coming soon), Deadpool, Darksiders 2 and many, many more.
I’m not being salty about remasters though, sure I did buy a couple myself. I’m still holding out for a Mass Effect trilogy remaster, or even Battlefield Bad Company 2 (a man can dream in both cases). Check out the screenshot comparisons below, and tell us, will you be picking up this Batman: Return to Arkham collection when it launches on July 26th?
