Let’s all sit down and talk about this for a moment but first let’s look. I think of everything that we were expecting to see from David Ayer and the folks making the Suicide Squad, this was the last thing we expected to see. I know that I certainly was taken aback. But after having time to process it, it really isn’t that bad.

Daredevil Season One Review

daredevilcostumeDaredevil Season One Review Slightly over ten years ago we were graced with an abominable trash that is known as Ben Affleck Daredevil. Ben genuinely tried too but he couldn’t save the dreadful script. Now, Marvel has done something obscure and made their first series based on one of their a-list heroes. Being with Netflix grants some leeway in content and makes for being true to the comic roots of Daredevil. Because of that fact and great casting and production cast, Daredevil turns out to be one of the best Marvel triumphs of all and leaves me hungry for another 13 Episodes.

Ex Machina Review

downloadIt’s not often that we get a Sci-Fi movie that is realistic Sci-Fi. It’s something that’s seldom tackled, and tackled well. But when it’s done right it can ascend to the ranks of notable works like 2001 A Space Odyssey, and though 2001 is a prime example, a good realistic Sci Fi movie will make you ponder about what you just saw and how real it might actually seem, Ex Machina accomplishes this task thanks to a fascinating script by veteran writer and freshman director Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine, Dredd) and works the little cogs in our brain to see how we really feel. By the end of the endeavor we may not know how to feel about anything presented to us, and that means the movie did it’s job well.

I was fortunate enough to get tickets to the IMAX screening of the Batman v Superman trailer. The trailer was leaked late last week but director Zack Snyder promised some extra goodies and content for those who still showed up, and boy did he deliver. While there wasn’t the biggest turnout at my theater, we were delightfully great and given a free ticket to see the movie next year, in IMAX, a week early. While we’re all awaiting the email (we had to fill out a card with some info) we were also given two new teaser posters.

Better Call Saul Season One

better call saulBetter Call Saul Season One Review After the brilliant final season of Breaking Bad, the creators turned their focus to the someone sleazy but inventive lawyer from the series. Saul is an interesting choice because at first glance you’re not sure what to expect, something more in vain of a comedy or perhaps more dramatic and akin to Breaking Bad. With that it’s hard to imagine Saul as a character that can anchor or lead a show. Thankfully Saul gives us reassurance in the form of one of the best inaugural seasons and something that rivals the series it delved from.

It Follows Review

it followsOut of Michigan comes a little horror film that no one saw coming, yet all the characters did.  For reference I’m going to quickly give an overview of the film as it’s not streamlined to most audiences as of yet. It’s a little indie horror movie that isn’t what you expect and turns out to be one of the most eventful things that’s been recently released. It Follows is essentially about a sexually transmitted monster that lurks around those inflicted nearly always. With that in mind here is my review.
