Ark: Survival Evolved has been a phenomenal hit on Xbox One and Steam, and while the PC version has access to mods, it’s about time the Xbox One got some of these goodies too. Mod support for Ark will be coming in May, bringing a new map to experience and explore, as well as loads of other features.
Ark players so far only have one location to play on, although you can choose what part of that immense map you want to begin your adventure on. Coming soon though, you will soon be able to play on a map called “The Center,” which is a fantasy themed map that literally doubles the size of the game. It includes a ton of new stuff including biomes, dungeons, ancient ruins and floating islands.
The map will become available in May on both Xbox One and PC, and later in the year, Primitive+ will be released, which is are the mod tools. If you want to begin modding, you can grab the Ark Dev Kit here. As well
Earlier this week, we also learned that Survival of the Fittest would be making its way to PlayStation 4 in June, ahead of its release on Xbox One. This will finally give PlayStation fans a taste of Ark, and it’s definitely something to look forward to!
