Aliens Colonial Marines was one of the biggest disappointments of the last generation. Gearbox and SEGA have a troubled past regarding its development, but in the hands of the gamers, it was downright awful and an embarrassment to the source material. Someone has been working on improving it for some reason.
A PC modder by the name of TemplarGFX has been plugging away at making it the game it should have been. He has corrected animations for both human and xenomorphs, and made the aliens a little more deadly and more stealthy.
“This State of the Bad-A** Art modification for ACM reworks, reprograms and rebalances Xeno AI, Human AI, Weapon Mechanics, Ballistics, Animations, Shaders, Particles, Decals, Lighting, and engine features to get the best out of the game possible.” The question is, why? I guess it’s understandable that gamers have longed for an interactive version of Aliens, and with Colonial Marines being the successor to the 80s action movie, a little bit of extra work could get it to the competent level it was lacking in initially.
You can see the full list of changes and modifications made here on the post. In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of Aliens Colonial Marines Overhauled in this video below.
