Alan Wake 2 has somewhat been confirmed by Remedy’s Sam Lake, who recently answered 100 questions in a video on their website. One of the quick fire questions asked was “Will we ever get to play Alan Wake 2?”, which was answered with an enthusiastic “Yes”.
Alan Wake released on the Xbox 360 in 2010, following a very long delay, but to rather positive critical response. The world was gorgeous, the story was great and dark, heavily inspired by Twin Peaks. A sequel never seemed like it would see the light of day (good pun, eh?) with an Xbox Live Arcade game released as a follow up called “American Nightmare”.
The studio will be releasing Quantum Break on Xbox One in early 2016, another Remedy title to suffer a delay, but the studio are good at what they do, and Microsoft are happy to give the team the time they need. In the interview, Sam Lake also names Half Life 2 as his favourite game of all time, and can’t explain how to change the batteries of a torch without turning it off. You will certainly laugh at the answer to “When is bullet time?”, “Nnnnooooooowwwwww”. What a guy. Watch the full questionnaire, it’s great fun!
