Gematsu translated Akio Otsuka’s Twitter updates on the game , saying how it they were “forced to disband,” but that MGSV will be their “greatest masterpiece.” Otsuka did not tell us the future for staff on the project considering reports that many of them are there now contracted rather than being employees, including Mr. Kojima himself.
Akio Otsuka said on Twitter:
“Kojima Productions was forced to disband, but it appears that the work that the team has been putting their utmost effort into is nearly complete. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I expect it will become their greatest masterpiece. I couldn’t help it. I just wanted to say ‘Kept you waiting, huh?’ (Laughs.) But even if this is the end, Metal Gear Solid is immortal!”
//t.co/9zeTNDpNxp

This is probably the most official confirmation that we have gotten since this all started several months ago, but it does not look like much has changed as original reports ring true. Konami want to avoid all questions on the topic of Kojima, as you may have noticed, which becomes apparent after they tell interviewers before E3 not to ask about it, as Angry Joe tells us in this Vlog here:
Even with this, the Konami vs. Kojima dispute is far from over just yet, and I doubt we will see an end until sometime after Metal Gear Solid V releases in September.
